Ann (Vericella) Colella, 93, of North Beaver Township, formerly of New Castle and Rochester, passed away peacefully in her home on November 17th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Castle on July 4th, 1931, surrounded by fireworks, the daughter of the late Biagio and Anna Marie Dalto Vericella. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Colella, two brothers and their spouses, Sebastian (Antonetta) Vericella and Arsonio (Mary) Vericella and six sisters and their spouses: Antoinetta (Sebastiano) Corio, Agnes (Nick) Somma, Hazel (Frank) Rully, Rose (Vito) Fera, Mary (Nick) Romano and Tresa (John) Jamrozik, her husband’s three sisters and spouses, Vivian (Eddie) Wyszomierski, Rita (Frank) Mavero and Marilyn (John) Didio. Most of her life, Ann was a housewife and homemaker. Ann was a former member of St. Cecilia RC Church of Rochester, part of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. When she moved to New Castle, she became a member of St. Vitus RC Church, having been born and raised in New Castle. Ann moved to Rochester after marrying her beloved husband, John B. Colella in August 1964. John passed away in 1982. They raised their children in Rochester and following the death of her husband, Ann moved back to New Castle to be closer to her supportive brothers and sisters. She was a member of various Christian Mothers groups, the Eagles, the American Legion and the Red Hat Society. Ann had devoted her life to her husband, children and later her grandchildren. Ann loved large family dinners, bus trips, bingo, shopping and having her hair done. Ann will always be remembered for her generosity and unconditional love. Ann is survived by two children and their spouses, Ann Colella-Murray and her husband Jeff, of New Brighton and John J. Colella and his wife Megan, of North Beaver Township, and four grandchildren whom she adored, Paige and Kyle Murray and Gianna and Johnny Colella. In 2021, when Ann turned ninety years old, she had eighty-nine nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces and great-great-grand nephews and great-great-grand nieces spanning over eleven different states who attended her birthday party. This was a true testament to how loved and respected she was. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. in the William Murphy Funeral Home, 349 Adams Street, Rochester. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 A.M. in St. Cecilia RC Church, Rochester Township. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery. Jane Erdene (Hainley) Schuliger (1933-2024)
Jane Erdene (Hainley) Schuliger, 91, of Moon Township passed away on November 16th, 2024. She was born on May 15th, 1933 in Marsteller, Pennsylvania to the late George John and Emma Lowell (Hysong) Hainley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Robert, Donald, and Gary Hainley. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Wayne Schuliger, and her children Karen Ritter (Jeff) of Moon Township and Brian Schuliger (Janine) of Delray Beach, Florida and Wexford. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael Ritter (Charoma), Amy Knox (Jacob), Anna Schuliger, Brienne Schuliger, and Christina Schuliger, and great-grandchildren: Elijah Fils-Aime, Ellie Jane Knox, Claire Knox, Caleb Knox, Grady Knox, and Desmond Ritter.
Jane was a 1951 graduate of Ebensburg High School. Following graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she became the secretary to Clyde Folson, J. Edgar Hoover’s associate director at the FBI. After her work there, she worked at Household Finance in several different cities. Later, Jane worked in the business office of the Moon Area School District and eventually became the secretary at Hyde Elementary School. She loved interacting with the staff, students, and parents at Hyde.
Jane was a member of Sharon Community Presbyterian Church for more than 55 years. In her early years there, she and her husband Wayne were active members of Merry Mates Couples Club. She was also the co-leader of Sharon Church Youth Club for 5 years.
Jane enjoyed sitting with her favorite chihuahua, Buster, who spent many hours in her lap. She loved shopping, reading, eating pizza, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family. Going to craft fairs was a favorite activity where she was always in search of that special treasure to add to her collection of Santas. Jane absolutely loved Christmas! She always made Christmas very special for her family with a wide variety of homemade cookies and breads, her many Christmas displays, her delicious turkey dinners, and her handpicked gifts for each of us. We will always remember “A Gift for You!”
Jane was a huge supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, attending many activities, including band concerts, baseball games, dance recitals, soccer games, back-to-school shopping trips, musicals, art shows, voice recitals, and graduations. She also spent many hours playing games and reading to the little ones. As one our greatest cheerleaders, she will be greatly missed.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, November 19th from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. in the Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Township, 1522 Coraopolis Heights Road. A funeral service will also be held on Wednesday, Nocvember 20th at 11 A.M. in Sharon Community Presbyterian Church of Moon Township, 522 Carnot Road. Jane requested to tell everyone not to wear black. Interment will follow in Sharon Community Presbyterian Cemetery.

Jacqueline Lillian Kress (Passed on November 17th, 2024)
Jacqueline Lillian “Jackie” Sieffert Kress, 75 of Center Township, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 17th, 2024. Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph W. Jr. and Etta B (Oldham) Sieffert, and her husband, Philip L. Kress. She is survived by her loving family, including her three children, Wayne (Megan) Kress, Jason (Rebecca) Kress, and Nicole Kress-Scheidmantel, her four grandchildren, Kai Scheidmantel, Wayne Jr. and Toni Kress, and Kaitlyn Libert and her brother, Roy (Dee) Ridgley.
She was born in Sewickley and raised in Aliquippa. Jackie was a proud graduate of Aliquippa High School, class of 1967. On June 30, 1967, Jackie married Philip L. Kress, and spent the majority of her married life in Center Township.
Jackie was a dedicated employee for a number of years of the Beaver County Times’ sales department and later at Macy’s at the Beaver Valley Mall.
A woman of deep faith, Jackie read the Bible extensively and lived her life as a testament to her beliefs. Her religious devotion was a cornerstone of her existence.
Her love for animals was another defining trait, with a particular soft spot for cats. Jackie supported animal causes passionately, reflecting her compassionate spirit. In years past, she found joy in doing ceramics and had an eye for treasures, being an avid antique collector.
Friends will be received on Thursday, Nov 21st from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca Private interment will follow on Friday at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Due to her love of animals, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made in her memory, if desired to the Beaver County Humane Society.
Patricia Lynn “Patti” Zapko (1955-2024)
Patricia Lynn “Patti” Zapko, 69, of Center Township, passed away on November 17th, 2024, following a brief illness.
She was born in Sewickley on November 8th, 1955, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Dorothy (Dubrowa) Mastellino. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Michael Zapko, and their two children, Ryan (Tori) Zapko and Lauren Leonard. Patti’s greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Madeline, Cameron, Parker, Harrison, Lucas, and Morgan, who will forever hold her love in their hearts. Patti is also survived by her loving siblings, Margi (Carl) Murphy and Vince Mastellino, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were like family.
A devout member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, part of Mary Queen of Saints Parish, Patti actively served her community through her involvement with the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and years of volunteer work.
Professionally, Patti dedicated part of her career to the airline industry in customer service before joining AAA as a group travel agent.
Above all, Patti cherished her family, finding immense joy in cooking and sharing meals with her loved ones. Known affectionately as “Mena,” she adored her six grandchildren and delighted in every moment spent with them.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 22th, at 10 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony Mastrofransesco Funeral Home, Inc., 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa.
Dorothy Otrhalik (1929-2024)
Dorothy Otrhalik, 95, passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2nd, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kamzelski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Fred J. Otrhalik and three siblings, Lorraine Bailey, Joseph Kamzelski, and Jim Kamzelski.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Donald (Debbie) Otrhalik and Karen (Robert) Campbell, two granddaughters, Ashleigh (Raymond) Aufman and Theresa (Paul) Bauernfeind, and three great-grandsons, Richard “Ricky,” Benjamin “Benji,” and Colin.
A devout member of the former Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Baden, Dorothy was deeply involved in parish life. She was a Christian Mother, sang in the church choir for over 40 years, and was known for her skill at pinching pierogis. She also enjoyed reading, doing crosswords and word searches, crocheting, and making rosary beads for donation overseas. She was actively involved in many activities at the Villa Saint Joseph.

Raymond W. McClellan (1945-2024)
Raymond W. McClellan, 79, of Economy Borough, passed away on November 12th, 2024, in Wexford Healthcare Center. He was born in Sewickley on March 20th, 1945, a son of the late E. Dale and Mildred (Miller) McClellan. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia, his daughter, Renee (David) Marchant, two brothers, Dale (Shirley) McClellan and Richard McClellan, two sisters, Nancy Seth and Alice (Paul) Camesi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Raymond worked as a Millwright for J&L Steel in Aliquippa for twelve years, then WCI Steel in Warren, Ohio for twenty years until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Raymond was a member of the Ambridge American Legion for forty-four years. He was also a life-long supporter of Scouting and a life-long member of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 20th, from 4-8 P.M., in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in the Economy Cemetery with the Beaver County Special Unit conducting full military honors.

Janice L. (Heitman) Swan Adamski (1938-2024)
Janice L. (Heitman) Swan Adamski, 86, passed away on October 18th, 2024. She was born on July 8th, 1938, in Aliquippa, the daughter of the late Virginia J. (Lux) Heitman Trehar and William H. (Bill) Heitman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband George W. Swan, her second husband, Charles Adamski, a daughter, Janice Louise and a granddaughter, Sara Morgan.
She is survived by her three loving children, David Alan (Susie), Michele Anne (Jim) and Mark Eric, four grandchildren, Melanie, Eric (Nikki), Kristina (Kevin), Amanda (Scott), and nine great-grandchildren: Ashley, Landon, Noah, Parker, Elizabeth, Camryn, Louise, Bohdi, and James.
Janice worked as a bus driver for the Hopewell School District for twenty years. She belonged to the House of Prayer Lutheran Church for many years. After her second marriage to Charles Adamski, she joined the Ohio U.P. Church in Hopewell, where she served as a Deacon. She was also one of the original members of The Neighborhood Saddle Club, where Janice and her first husband owned, and trail rode horses. She had a love for all animals and gave many of them a loving home.
All services were private. Janice was laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony Mastrofransesco Funeral Home, Inc., 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa.
Mary Ann Sasinovich (1940-2024)
Mary Ann Sasinovich, 84, of Economy, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 26th, 1940, a daughter of the late Peter and Florence Brasko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. “Digger Joe” Sasinovich, and her sister, Rosella Sepella.
She is survived by her devoted children: Mary Jo (Don) Sivy, Sandy (Drew) Pszenny, Joanne (Nicholas) Tisak, and Debbie Sasinovich; her brother, Peter (Kathleen) Brasko, and her cherished grandchildren: Matthew (Jessica) Sivy, Nicole (John) Gehan, Joseph Tisak, James (Julianna) Tisak, Joshua Tisak, and Amanda Pszenny; five great-grandchildren: Ava, Ella, Ethan, Kristianna, and Clara, along with her beloved furry companion, Cleo.
Mary Ann was a dedicated fan of Elvis Presley who loved spending time at the casino playing the slot machines. She also enjoyed bingo, pokeno, and watching WWE wrestling. However, her greatest joy in life was always her family. The family would like to thank Veronica and the entire staff of Concordia of Franklin for their loving care of our mother.

Mark Livingston (1962-2024)
Mark Livingston, 62, of Darlington Township, passed away on November 15th, 2024, in his home.
He was born in Beaver Falls on August 16th, 1962, in Beaver Falls, the son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Staggers) Livingston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Livingston and Sue Ellen Cormier. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna (Schockling) Livingston, a son, Dylan (Tiffany) Livingston, a daughter, Sarah (Jake) Livingston, four grandchildren, Jakob Taylor, Rylie Livingston, Isobel Daniels, and Jacob Daniels, two sisters, Debra Pyle and Beth Guillespie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mark had been an arborist for Asplundh for many years. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, hiking, watching Steelers football, and was a talented woodworker.
In accordance with Mark’s wishes, he will be cremated and no services are being planned at this time.

Gerald L. Young (1926-2024)
Gerald L. Young, 98, of Raccoon Township passed away on November 14th, 2024.
He was born on April 15th, 1926, the son of the late Everett and Martha (Graham) Young.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy (Selick) Young, an infant son, David, his siblings: Dorothy, Pete, Betty, Jean, Graham, Richard, Donna, Edra and Joanne; and a son-in-law, Joe D. McPherson.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Patricia McPherson and Cathy (Gus) Eaton, three cherished grandchildren, Katie (Marshall) Foster, Chelsey (Eric) Eaton, Elijah (Amanda) Eaton and three great grandchildren, Kellan, Cheyenne and Sophia. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the military police as a Sargent.
He took great pride in farming and had a passion for agriculture. He learned hard work at a young age and instilled that ethic within his family.
He was also a driver for the Port Authority meeting many people throughout his working years.
He was also involved in the Beaver County Antique Association having served as a past president and as a member.
