Marjorie Ann Krisa (1948-2024)

Marjorie Ann Krisa, 75, of South Beaver Township, passed away on April 14, 2024 in Good Samaritan Hospice.

She was born on July 23, 1948 in New Brighton and was the daughter of the late Willard and Blanche (Schoder) Zeh, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, whom she married on July 18, 1970, Walter Krisa; children Stephanie & Jeff Christian of New Brighton; Michael Krisa and Stacey Barnes of East Palestine, Ohio; and Tim Krisa of East Palestine, Ohio, three grandchildren, Hollyn Christian, Grace Christian, and Owen Krisa, sister, Carol (Dave) Somerville; mother-in-law Helen Krisa; brother-in-law Michael Krisa; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was a longtime member of Pathway Church of Chippewa Township.  She loved playing cards, reading,  and antiquing.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 18 from 2-4 P.M. & 6-8 P.M. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801-4th Avenue, Beaver Falls, where a funeral service will be held Friday, April 19 at 11:00 A.M. with her pastor John Westurn officiating.

Private interment will be in Grandview Cemetery of Big Beaver Borough.

Memorial contributions may be made if desired to Pathway Church’s Clean Water Program, which is a program dedicated to building wells in third world countries.

Stephen L. Baker (1951-2024)

Stephen L. Baker, 73, of Ohioville, passed away on April 14, 2024, at Heratige Valley Health System of Beaver.

Born on March 12, 1951, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Kenny Baker and Charles and Elizabeth (Myers) Gillespie, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie (Allwine) Baker; children, Jason (Amy) Baker, Teri Jo (Jim) Kuroski, Sammy Jo (Mike) Watson, and Joshua (Autumn Hall) Baker; grandchildren, Shalimar Baker, Ashayla Baker, Arayah Baker, Cody Baker, Peyton (Dylan) Thellman, Brianna Baker, Garrett Gilbert, Nicholas Gilbert, Noah Haney, Tanner Haney, Kaylee Kuroski, and Alexis Kuroski; great-grandchildren, Liam Thellman and Bella Thellman; his sister, Lori (Bob) Ealy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Amber Baker, Jeff Allwine, Beth Deprano, Greg Allwine, and Kathy Ware; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Steve had worked for J&L Steel for several years before retiring from UPMC Passavant as a maintenance worker.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved to garden, paint, play golf, softball, and tennis.  Steve had a love for being a regular ol’ hillbilly.

Friends will be received on Thursday, April 18th from 2 P.M. until time of services at 6 P.M. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.

In accordance with Steve’s wishes, he will be cremated following services.

Stephen B. Knotts (1962-2024)

Stephen B. Knotts, 61, of Rochester Township, passed away on April 13, 2024, at his home. Stephen was born on June 22, 1962 in Rochester to the late Andrew D. and Sofie Lewchenko Knotts. Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Barbara Knotts, a niece, Rachel A. Warga-Ward and his K-9 Companions, Tater and Snowflake. Stephen is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joan C. “Bonzo” Knotts, his loving daughters, Kailey E. Knotts of Freedom, and Jessica S. [Steve Valent], of Tennessee, one granddaughter, Isla E. “Bean” Keane of Freedom. Steve is also survived by one brother and sister in law, William A. “Bill” and Suzi Knotts of Economy Borough, a sister, Carol D. Knotts of Canfield, Ohio, a beloved special friend, R.J. Ward of New Sewickley Township, cousin, Jerry Kello of Butler, Godfather to Steve’s daughters, and Danny Murphy of Emlenton. He is also survived by his K-9 companions, Pepsi and Spud, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was a retired Construction Coordinator with Columbia Gas of Pa, Rochester Township, and Monaca. Stephen attended The Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rochester. Stephen loved his pet dogs, his family, and going to his camp with family and friends. He especially loved being a pappap to his granddaughter “Bean”.
Steve played semi-pro football for The Pittsburgh Maulers. He prided himself in lifting weights, being strong and his ability to protect the ones he loved. As tough as Steve may have been, he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was caring and compassionate and would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
Steve was always making sure everyone had a smile on their face with his unique sense of humor. His gift in life was being able to make people laugh and could make friends anywhere he went.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. in The William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc. 349 Adams Street, Rochester. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. in The Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 393 Adams Street, Rochester. Officiating will be his Pastor, Reverend Gregory S. Clagg. Interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery. The family wishes any memorial contributions be made to the Thomas E. James R. Reid (1995-2024)

James R. Reid, 29, of McGuire Memorial, Daugherty Twp, passed away on April 13, 2024.

Born on April 3, 1995, in Philadelphia, he is the son of James L. Reid and Minyette Turner.

Friends will be received Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in McGuire Memorial, 2119 Mercer Road, New Brighton, from 9 a.m. until 10:45.   A Homegoing service will follow at 11 a.m. in McGuire Memorial.

James will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memorial Park of Philadelphia.

Leslie W. Fetch (1947-2024)

Leslie W. Fetch, 77, of Hopewell Township, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 17, 1947 in Sewickley, to the late William and Irene (Sholock) Fetch, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara (Childs) Fetch, two sons, Don (Allison) Fetch of Purcellville, Virginia, Jonathan Fetch and Sarah Shannon of Grove City, and two grandchildren, Cameron Fetch and Luna Fetch. He was a computer analyst for HJ Heinz Company. Leslie was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Church of Glenwillard, Pennsylvania, part of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. He was also a member of the Fairs Oaks Volunteer Fire Department and served Meals on Wheels for many years in the Aliquippa area, was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed boating. He proudly served his country as a radioman in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10 A.M. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. James Church, 201 Broad Street, Sewickley. Luncheon will immediately follow Mass at 11:30 A.M. in the gathering space adjacent to the church. Interment with full military honors will follow at 2:30 P.M. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.

Diana M. Lindemann (1957-2024)

Diana M. Lindemann, 66, of Rochester Township, passed away on April 12th, 2024, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was born on September 27th, 1957 in Aliquippa and was the daughter of the late Richard Albert “Al” and Eve Marie Yanko. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Diana is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Michael J. Lindemann, four brothers, and three sisters-in-law, Mark and Amy Yanko, of Aliquippa, Chris and Kathy Yanko, of Hopewell, Steve and Mae Yanko, of Clinton, Pennsylvania and Philip Paul Yanko, of Verland, Pennsylvania, as well as one niece and two nephews.
Diana was a former aide to various elderly families throughout Beaver County, then later served as a housewife and homemaker. She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School and received an associate’s degree in Applied Science from the Community College of Allegheny County. Diana was a great lover of cats and enjoyed reading, singing, and watching old comedies with her husband in her pastime. She was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church of Rochester, where she was a Christian mother. In her youth Diana was a choir member for St. Titus Roman Catholic Church of Aliquippa.
Friends will be received Tuesday April 16th from 3-7 p.m. at William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, Wednesday April 17th at 10 a.m., at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church of Rochester. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park of Rochester. Arrangements were entrusted to William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc.

Myrna L. (Diamond) Douglass (1936-2024)

Myrna L. (Diamond) Douglass, 88, of Beaver passed away peacefully with her family and constant companion, Bella Marie by her side on April 11, 2024.

Born on April 6, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Ralph, Sr., and Mabel Edgar Diamond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved niece, Kristy Diamond.

She is survived by her son, Mike Douglass of Beaver; daughters, Cathy (Mark) Ketchel of Gibsonia, and Lori (Dann) Glott of Beaver; brother, Ralph (Kathy) Diamond of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Amber (Jake Goughan) Industry, and Zachary Ketchel, Covington, Kentucky; and aunt, Karrie Diamond Rodgers of Texas.

Myrna retired following a long career as a nursing technician with Heritage Valley Hospital of Beaver. She was a faithful member of Trinity Church of Beaver, where she served as a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King. Myrna will be mostly remembered as a loving mother to her children. Her family and faith were everything to her.

Kathleen L. Matoic Rotuna (1942-2024)

Kathleen L. Matoic Rotuna, 82, of Brighton Township, formerly of New Brighton, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 11, 2024.

Born on March 5, 1942 in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Louise Matoic. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Matoic. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John J. Rotuna; son, James D. (Mary Kay) Rotuna of Baden; daughters, Terri L. (David) Cepicka of Fox Chapel, and Kathleen M. Rotuna of Vanport; and granddaughters, Jacqueline L. and Rachael S. Cepicka.

Kathleen was a long time Brighton Township resident and member of Saints Peter and Paul Church of Beaver, part of Our Lady of the Valley Parish. She formerly ran the Saints Peter and Paul School cafeteria for 20 years, having later retired from First National Bank of Koppel.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10 A.M., Saints Peter and Paul Church, 200 3rd Street, Beaver.

Heath Dominic Vezza (1973-2024)

Heath D. Vezza, 50, of Harmony Township, passed away at home on April 8, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1973 and was the son of Dominic and Patricia Vezza. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Kimberley Heitzenrater-Vezza, children, Sage Vezza, Tessa Vezza (Montrail Strozier), Kainen Vezza, siblings, Angel (Chris) Hayes, Rochele (Mike) Etzi, Tessie (Isaac) Irby, Kara (Ben) Vezza-Herring, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Richard Heitzenrater, very special aunt, Amy Bortman, along with numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Kelly Heitzenrater. Heath was a graduate of Ambridge Area Highschool Class of 1992. He attended the University of Pittsburgh receiving and associates degree. He was employed for twenty years with Norfolk Southern Railroad where he became the Vice Chairman of the American Rail Federation. Heath was a loving and caring father and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Frank Leslie McPherson (1943-2024)

Frank Leslie McPherson, 80, of Enon Valley, passed away on April 10, 2024, at Heritage Valley Health System of Beaver.

Born September 20, 1943, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Berton and Lula (Hougue) McPherson. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, Burton “Mitch” McPherson and Dennis McPherson and his sisters, Sandy Mayle and Carol Jodikinos.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda McPherson, his children, Gerald McPherson, Linda Hall, William McPherson, Kelly Klaus McPherson and Frank L. McPherson, Jr., numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his sister, Lola Kugel.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 12th from 2pm-8pm in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS, INC.- 117 Blackhawk Rd., Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 13 at 10 am with Pastor Dan Muir as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Little Beaver Cemetery of Enon Valley, where full Military Honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America.
