GLASS COLLECTION for Beaver County Residents

GLASS COLLECTION for Beaver County Residents.  Every Wednesday from 8-11 AM at Brady’s Run Park Recycling Center.  All other recyclables are collected on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

GLASS BOTTLES & JARS.

Accepted:

  • All colors of glass bottles and jars ONLY
  • Caps, lids and labels are acceptable
  • Empty and clean all containers

Not Accepted:

  • window glass
  • light bulbs
  • drinking glasses/stemware
  • TVs
  • Dishware
  • Ceramics
  • Mirrors

EYEGLASSES:  The “Through Beaver County’s Lens: Glass to Glass” program collects eyeglasses, sun glasses and reading glasses for reuse.  Collected eye-ware are then shared with local doctors or sent abroad through Mission Vision for use in developing countries.

A free showing of Lego Movie 2 will begin at approximately 9:00 PM on Friday, June 21 in Townsend Park on Third Avenue. Feel welcome to bring blankets, pillows, and snacks to make the experience more enjoyable. Water and Little Hug fruit drinks will be provided at no cost.

Volunteer for Condordia Tele-Caregivers.

That ONE PHONE CALL could make a DIFFERENCE in one’s daily life!

Tele-Caregivers is a FREE program and is designed to help people stay safe and comfortable in their own home.

We’re in need of volunteers to make phone calls each morning to homebound elderly and/or others who live alone just to make sure they’re safe and secure.

The calls are designed to make the recipients feel safe and to perhaps identify an emergency situation.  All it takes is a 2-3 minute morning call between the hours of 8-10 AM to clients who meet the criteria.
