AMBRIDGE BOROUGH ANNOUNCES RECYCLING EVENT
The recycling event will be held at the Ambridge Borough building on Saturday, March 28th staring at 9AM. Household hazardous waste including TV’s, electronics, chemicals, bulbs and freon waste. McGuire Memorial annual car raffle!
McGuire Memorial is having its 13th annual car raffle. This year there are 4 options to choose from:
Ram Truck, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, or the latest addition: a Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Each Vehicle has a $50,000.00 value. The Vehicle was donated so 100% of the proceeds go directly to the McGuire Memorial Foundation, for the future needs of the residents of McGuire Memorial.
Tickets are $25.00 each and the drawing is at the Auction for
McGuire Memorial on March 7, 2020.

A free writing workshop is being offered at B.F. Jones Memorial Library for those 18 and over.
The 3-workshop series is entitled Recording Personal Stories of Aliquippa :Your History Through the Art of Story..
Local resident Kim Revay, a creative writing Professor at CCBC, and an Aliquippa resident will teach the classes on Saturdays February 8, 15,and 22 from 10 a.m.to noon.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, the VBC is partnering with Point Park University to hold a women’s storytelling event with WWII veteran Navy WAVE Julia Parsons. Julia worked as a codebreaker on Enigma, the top secret German code. FREE EVENT! Korean War Anniversary Event at the Heinz History Center (1212 Smallman St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222). To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War on June 25, 1950, the VBC with the Heinz History Center invites you to a storytelling event where Korean War veterans share their memories of the war. Refreshments will be served.
