VIDEO: “Bags & Blessings” To Hold 5K On September 14 In Bridgewater

The ongoing struggle with cancer is something that affects all of us, as most of us know someone who is either dealing with the disease or is close to someone who is. And within the struggle, there are two things that nobody should forget:

  1. You do not have to give up.
  2. You do not have to fight cancer alone.

This brings us to Robin Redfern, whose “Bags & Blessings” organization gives gift bags to women who are going through chemotherapy in Western Pennsylvania. She and fellow organizer Jennifer Temple came on A.M. Beaver County to talk about the non-profit organization, as well as their stories with struggling to deal with breast cancer and finding each other to work with each other.

They also discussed in detail their first charity event, a 5K run/fun walk that will be headquartered at Thursday’s in Bridgewater. The event is open to the public and will feature (among other things) a massage station, goodie bags, and a prayer tent. More info about the race can be found here.
