Two WPIAL powerhouses battled it out Friday night at the Pit in Aliquippa when Avonworth and the Quips squared off. The Quips fell short after two big second half turnovers. Avonworth won the hard fought contest 23-7.

Aliquippa goes on the road to play Mars next Friday at 7pm.
