A former policeman who stole more than $1 million from the Ambridge Area School District… and $46,000 from the borough of Baden…. is headed to federal prison for a little over three years. U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab imposed a 37-month term Tuesday on 57-year-old Keith Kristek who had been the acting tax collector for the Ambridge district and the borough where he had once been a police officer and constable. The judge also ordered him to pay more than a million dollars in restitution, although coming up with the money will be difficult because federal prosecutors say he gambled most of it away at casinos.
