(Beaver Falls, Pa.) The Beaver Falls Business District Authority has announced it’s winners of the 2nd Annual Beaver Falls Pro Bowl Chili Walk-off that was held on Saturday February 12, 2022. We here at Beaver County Radio have our chest pushed out a little in pride today as Mark Peterson’s Famous Chuck’s Chili placed fourth in the competition. Peterson’s chili is named after local legend and radio pioneer Chuck “Waxie” Wilson who spoke the first words on Beaver County Radio back on May 25, 1948. Chuck’s Chili featured Hickory Smoked “Chuck” Roast, Broadcast Bacon, Radio Red Peppers, Transmitter Tomatoes and more.
The only important thing is that we placed fourth but the other winners were, first place was a tie between McMahon’s Harley Davidson and The Beaver Falls Library, second was Wolfe’s Clothing Store, third was the Beaver Falls Fire Department, fourth Beaver County Radio and Fifth Jumet Financial.
Jodi Blank from Helisek Contracting presented Beaver County Radio Station Manager Mark Peterson and Program Director Frank Sparks with their fourth place trophy Monday afternoon.
