UPMC has announced it will increase minimum starting salaries for entry-level employees to $15 per hour. The change will affect most of the Pittsburgh facilities, including UPMC Presbyterian, Shadyside Hospital and Magee-Women’s Hospital. The pay increase will go into effect by January of 2021. The health care giant says average service worker pay will exceed $15 by January 2019.
