Cats, Fitness, & Chili: Just Another Normal Edition Of “People Purpose Planet”

So how do those three subjects go together?

Well for starters, Dr. Pete Birchler from the Chiropractic Health Center in Chippewa hosted another edition of “People Purpose Planet”, a look at the non-profit organizations that are making a difference in Beaver County and surrounding areas. Like in February, Dr. Pete brought along Mike Romigh, the social media/fundraising coordinator for the Beaver County Humane Society. This time Mike brought in a few guests: three recently acquired cats that are looking for a new home. Mike also updated the status of the headquarters on Brodhead Road following a pipe burst in February.

Also joining Dr. Pete and Mike was David Pavkovich of SouLift Fitness in Beaver, whose gym provides a goal-based alternative to the typical gym setting. Now while SouLift IS a for-profit organization, their upcoming partnership with the Humane Society is not: that being the upcoming chili cook-off being held at the Midland American Legion on March 16 from 4-7pm. This open-for-public event is $5 for general admission, and voters can donate $1 to the favorite chili; all proceeds benefit the Humane Society.
