TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING 4 PENGUINS 3 FINAL

The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 at the PPG Arena. The Penguins jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals on goals by Patrick Hornquest and Phil Kessel. The trouble began  for the Penguins late in the first period.  The Pens drew two penalties on the same play. Down 5-3  the Lightning’s got on the board with a power play goal with 2.7 seconds left in the period. Penguins 2-Lightning 1 after 1-period.   The Lightning tied and took the lead early in the second period.  Braydon Point scored twice 5-on-3 power play goals in the first :91 seconds It was a natural hat trick.  The Penguins tied the game at 4:29. Patrik Hornquist scored his 2nd goal of the game. The Lightning got the winner at 7:56 on Yanni Gourde’s 8th of the season There was no scoring in the third. Yhe Penguins were 2-4 on the powerplay . The Lightning were 4-6 with the man advantage. The Penguins have lost 7-of its last 8 games.  The Pens next game will be Saturday   in Ottawa.  WBVP-WMBA air time is 6:30. Faceoff is at 7:08.
