New Sewickley Man Hospitalized Following Crash

A New Sewickley township man was taken to an area hospital Monday after he was involved in a crash that may have been caused by a medical issue. The Beaver County Times reports 49-year-old Ron Swedish crashed into a bridge impoundment Monday on Freedom-Crider Road. Swedish then crashed into a guardrail and his car was forced down into a creek off of the road. Firefighters had to remove the roof of Swedish’s car to pull him out of the wreckage. He was treated at the scene and then taken to an area hospital. Police believe Swedish may have had a medical emergency at the time of the accident.
