Darlene Gillespie Kermiet (“Dizz”), 74, of Leland, North Carolina, formerly of Brighton Township, passed away on October 26th, 2026. She was born in Rochester on July 20th, 1952, the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Werner) Gillespie.

Darlene had been employed in the medical field in different capacities. She was a member of Vanport Presbyterian Church, where she had served as an Elder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Paul Kermiet.

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Kermiet, and son-in-law, Jae Kim, his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Bob Whittingham, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Penny and John Cline, two nephews, Stephen (Abbie) Whittingham and Bryce (Natalie) Whittingham and their families; two nieces, Renee (Chris) Carnahan and Leanne Cline and their families; and stepdaughter, Christine Moye (John Pamer) and her family.

Friends will be received on Monday, November 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, who was in charge of her arrangements. A service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at 11 a.m. at Vanport Presbyterian Church, 289 Georgetown Lane, Beaver.
