Norman William Brandon, a husband, father, proud Marine, hardworking truck driver, and beloved friend, passed away on September 5th, 2026 at the age of 75.
He was born in Rochester on April 3rd, 1951 and lived a life defined by strength, dedication, loyalty, and love for his family and friends.
He proudly served his country for a short period of time as a United States Marine with his late best friend John (Rufus) Rudar, and carried the values of honor, courage, and commitment with him throughout his life. After his military service, he continued his career on the open road as a truck driver. He took great pride in his work and spent countless miles traveling across the country and locally. Whether behind the wheel or spending time with the people he loved, he was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and unforgettable personality. To those closest to him, he was affectionately known as “Giggles,” a nickname that reflected the laughter and joy he brought into the lives of others. His greatest legacy will not be measured in miles driven or years served, but in the love, lessons, memories, and laughter he gave his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by a son, William Brandon (Cristal), his daughter, Christy Brandon, his grandchildren, Chantel, Noah, Hailey & Keegan, his brother, Joseph Brandon, his former wife, Cheri Evans, her mother, Anne Harris, and his very close friends Robert Reistino “Tex”, Sandy Winner-Reistino, and David Felo, as well as countless family, friends and loved ones who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by numerous family including his father & mother, Norman & Betty Brandon, his sisters Brenda(Bob) Tanchuk, & Sharon Harrington, his son, Jonathon Brandon and cousins/partners in crime, Jack & Doug Willis.
Bill was a member of New Brighton Croatian Club where a memorial celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th at noon.
