Chris Alan Leonberg, 61, of New Brighton, passed away on August 24th, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Beaver on April 16th, 1965, a son of the late Charles and Genevieve (Wahl) Leonberg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeannie M. (H. Wesley) Stewart and JoAnn (David) Minett and his nephew, Harry “Butch” Stewart.

He is survived by his children, Chad (Brittany) Leonberg and Rachael West, his sisters, Jacqueline Rindle and Judy (Doug) Frederick, his brother, Charles (Kim) Leonberg, his grandchildren, Macy Leonberg and Scarlett Leonberg, his nephew, David Minett, Jr., his niece, Jennifer Zackasee and her son, Wahlker Zackasee.

Chris was a graduate of Freedom High School, where he played football. He was the owner of L&M Auto Sales in New Brighton. He enjoyed a good meal, playing poker and hunting. He was also a fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 28th, from 5 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the J&J Spratt Funeral Home, Inc., 1612 Third Avenue, New Brighton, who was in charge of his arrangements.
