Lawrence A. DePaolis Sr., 94, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on August 17th, 2026, at his residence.
He was born in Freedom on June 1st, 1932, a son of the late Carlo Sr. and Elide Barzanti DePaolis.
Lawrence was a retired employee with the former Dravo Corporation. He was a member of St. Felix Roman Catholic Church in Freedom, an Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a life member of the North Hills Historic Auto club, and a life member of the Beaver County Model Airplane club. Lawrence was a loving father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie C. (Hoover) DePaolis, as well as three brothers, Joseph, Casper J. “Cappy” and Carlo Jr. DePaolis, and three sisters, Flora Steel, Pauline Rusnak and Lena Catana. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence A. and Judy DePaolis of Vienna, Virginia and Michael A. and Diane DePaolis of Rochester, three daughters and two sons-in-law: Vickie and Rodney Eichhorn, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Donna DePaolis McKeever of Gig Harbor, Washington, Tracy and Mark Drago, of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 19th, from 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., at the William Murphy Funeral Home Inc., 349 Adams Street Rochester, who was in charge of his arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held on Thursday, August 20th, beginning at 10am, at St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, 450 13th Street, Freedom. All attendees are requested to meet at church. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 1101 9th St Extension, Freedom.
