Dwight was known for his generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. He was affectionately known as “Moe” by his family and lifelong friends and lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and kindness.

He dedicated 33 years of service to working at the Hopewell Township Water Treatment Plant. Throughout his life, he was never one to shy away from hard work. In addition to his career, he helped establish and support two family-run delis and took on numerous part-time jobs to provide for his family and enjoy the hobbies that brought him happiness.

He found joy in trips to Atlantic City, evenings at the neighborhood bar with friends, and creating lasting memories by taking his children on vacations to Universal Studios. He was known for his generosity, quietly giving to friends, family, and local organizations whenever he could. His greatest loves were his children, his brothers, his lifelong friends, sharing a good, hearty laugh, and, of course, the neighborhood cats that always seemed to find a friend in him. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, steadfast work ethic, quick wit, and the countless ways he made those around him feel welcome and cared for. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the many lives he touched through his quiet acts of kindness.

In honor of Dwight’s life and generous heart, those wishing to celebrate his memory are invited to make a donation to Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh, an organization he faithfully supported with monthly donations for many decades.

A memorial for family and friends will be held at a later date.
