Joan L. Hagerty, 81, formerly of Austintown, Ohio, New Springfield, Ohio, and Rochester, passed away on July 27th, 2025, in Austintown, Ohio. She was born in New Brighton on October 16th, 1943,  the daughter of the late Vernon L., and Agnes M. Martincek Leister. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Hagerty. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Leigh Ann Hagerty of New Springfield, Ohio, one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L. and Kevin Kilmer of Rochester, as well as five grandchildren: Lauren Callahan and her husband Matt, Lindsey Hagerty Marinelli and her husband Bobby, Andrew Hagerty and his wife Aurora, Mitchell and Abigail Kilmer; as well as eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Vernon R. Leister of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She was a retired Deli Clerk Assistant Manager at Giant Eagle in Rochester, as well as a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church of East Palestine, Ohio, and a former member of St. Cecilia’s, Roman Catholic Church of Rochester. Joan’s wish was to be cremated with no services. All arrangements are entrusted to William Murphy Funeral Home Inc. 349 Adams Street, Rochester.
