Bonavere “Bonnie” L. Milne (1939-2025)

Bonavere “Bonnie” L. Milne, 86, of Rochester, passed away on April 19th, 2025 at Beaver Valley Nursing Center. She was born in Waterman, Pennsylvania on February 25th, 1939, a daughter of the late Reverend Edward J. and Ida Mushrush Hastie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Milne Sr., her daughter, Jennifer J. Milne, her sister, Lorraine J. Coates and her great granddaughter, Olivia Milne. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Debra L. Milne and Fairfield Township, Ohio, one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah K. and Larry Helton of Madison Township, Ohio, a daughter-in-law, Petra Tallo of York, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren: Megan and Edwin Bailey, Jacob and Reverend Rebecca Milne, Hannah and Dean Brooks, and Luke Helton; as well as three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Bailey, Cecelia and Elizabeth Milne and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonavere was an organist and pianist for multiple churches. She was also a present member and treasurer of Homewood Methodist Church. She loved to bake cookies, make candy, and organize various social events at church. Her gift in life was helping and serving others. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 27th from 3-7 p.m. and on Monday, April 28th from 10 a.m. until the time of a service at 11 a.m. at the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester. Interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 PA-68, Rochester. Her family asks that memorial contributions would be made to Homewood Methodist Church 127 First Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
