Donald Devich, Jr., 89, of Beaver, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on October 14, 2024.
He was born on September 2, 1935, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Donald Sr. and Mildred Devich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Devich. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Doris, five children: Dawn (John) Hirt, of Germantown, Tennessee and their children, John (Tara) Hirt of Arlington, Tennessee and Kristin (David) Hertlein of Brentwood, Missouri, Kimberly Matthews of Pittsburgh, and her daughter, Nicole (Doug) Sutter of Monaca, Kristin (Paul) Brenner of Beaver, and their daughters, Danielle Trombulak of Beaver, and Taylor (Joseph) Karnash of Cranberry Township, Mark (Jeannie) Devich of Aliquippa, and their daughter, Tiffany (Gary) Peter of Pittsburgh, Tamara (Paul) Comodor, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and their children, Hilary (Jason) Good of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and Ben (Nikki) Comodor of Washington, Pennsylvania, brother, Nick Devich, of Pittsburgh, sister, Dorothy Aukskunas of Tampa, Florida and many great-grandchildren.Donald was an active member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Industry. He spent his career in the newspaper industry, retiring as the VP of Landon Associates Pittsburgh in 1998.
Donald was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He enjoyed traveling around Europe with his wife, Doris, to locations including Austria, Germany, France, England, Italy, Switzerland, and Serbia. He loved detailing his travels with loved ones and sharing photos he’d captured. As per Donald’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held.
