(Independence Twp., Beaver County, Pa.) Pennsylvania State Police in Brighton Twp. are reporting that they were called to a residence along Ridge Road in Independence Twp. Beaver County for a report of a suicidal male around 2:40 AM Friday morning. Upon arriving at the residence, the Troopers observed an open door to the residence that was then quickly shut before Troopers could enter. After numerous attempts to contact the unnamed subject were met with negative results and based on information received that the subject had several firearms in the house Troopers determined that they needed to get a 302 warrant for the residence. After obtaining the warrant, the State Police Special Emergency Response Team then made entry into the home and took the subject into custody without incident. He was then transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
