James F. “Jim” Hogue (1949-2024)

James F. “Jim” Hogue, 74, of Brighton Township, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Friday, February 16, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

Born on November 26, 1949, in Rochester, he was the son of the late Frank Hogue and the late Louise (Pittser) Mowry.

Jim was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War.  He retired from Koppel Steel as an accountant and was Presbyterian by faith.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan, but most of all, was a doting father and grandfather.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Linda (Ours) Hogue; children, Debbie Hogue-DeRicco, James Hogue, Jr., and Lori (Brian) Hogue-Pavelek; grandchildren, Allie (Barak), Mackenzie, Cody, Hunter, Garrett, and Taylor; a great-grandson, Milo; nephews, Danny Putney and David Putney; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Putney.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 21st from 2-4PM & 6-8PM in the GABAUER-TODD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES (Branch), 340 Third Street, Beaver.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22nd at 11AM in the funeral home chapel.  Military honors will be accorded by the Beaver County Special Unit prior to services.

Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
