Linda (Butcher) Koziar, of West Mayfield passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024 after a brief illness.
She was born on May 25, 1950 to the late Charles Wesley Butcher and Anna Wojtkiewicz. She was married to her late husband, Gregory T. Koziar until his death on August 17, 2015 after caring for him for 10 years.
Linda was a proud graduate of Holy Trinity Elementary School under the tutelage of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Baden. Probably the happiest time of her life.  She graduated Beaver Falls High School Class of 1968 and received a BS from Clarion University in 1972. She worked for the Department of Welfare for 34 years.
Linda loved her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Augustine/ St. Monica Parish and watched Heart of the Nation Sunday Mass when she was unable to attend.
She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Kara Koziar and Brandon Benecki of Ocracoke Island, NC; two sisters, Charlotte (Terry) Hopkins of Leesburg, FL and Debbie (William) McClarey of Chippewa Twp. and special cousins, Stephanie (Larry) Wingard and Walter Kosek and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As per her request there will be no visitation.
