As Walmart moves to phase out its familiar “greeters” at some 1,000 stores nationwide, disabled workers who fill many of those jobs say they’re being unfairly targeted. Walmart told greeters around the country last week their positions would be eliminated on April 26 in favor of an expanded, more physically demanding “customer host” role. That came as a heavy blow to greeters with cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other disabilities. Now Walmart is facing a backlash from customers and employees.

AUDIO: New CCBC President Roger Davis Talks About His Plans On A.M. Beaver County
This week heralded the announcement of Roger W. Davis, previously the Vice President & Provost of the Community College of Beaver County, as the college’s 9th and current President, replacing the already-vacated Dr. Chris Reber.
In his first-ever radio interview on A.M. Beaver County, Dr. Davis talked about his career path to get to this point of becoming CCBC’s president; a journey that has taken him all across the United States. He also spoke about the future of the college; including the groundbreaking of a new Process Technology facility on campus, the continued partnership with Shell and the new cracker plant, and the hopes to internationalize the Aviation wing of CCBC.

Quaker Valley Punches Ticket to 4A Championship Beating Ambridge 69-60!!
In a game heard on WBVP/WMBA and TribLive it was Bob Barrickman and Tom Hays on the call from North Hills High School. Ambridge jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, but never had another lead. Quaker Valley jumped out to a 14-10 lead after 1. They built on that lead and made it 29-22 at the half. Quaker Valley jumped out to a double digit lead, but Ambridge wouldn’t go down easy. It was 43-34 after 3. Quaker Valley wins 69-60 and will play New Castle for the 4A WPIAL Championship Saturday at 1:00 PM.
