(MONACA, PA): The Central Valley Warriors improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play Friday night with a 42-14 win over New Castle.
The Warriors scored two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns in the first half to take a 28-7 lead over the Hurricanes into halftime. The third quarter yielded more of the same for Coach Mark Lyons’ football team. The Warriors added two more touchdowns while New Castle was held to only seven points in the second half. Giving Central Valley the 42-14 victory. This game marks the end of the first half of the regular season. Central Valley will continue their quest for the Parkway Conference title next Friday when they go on the road to play Blackhawk. Meanwhile New Castle will try to notch their first win of the season at home against Montour.
