Part 2 of the Beaver Falls Lecture Series is this week…Wednesday, April 5 at the Library at 7:00 p.m. The program centers around the question of “Why Stay” and it features a panel of four young adults who have chosen to stay and invest in the community.

All are welcome to attend. No need to register. This college fair is FREE of charge to students and families.

The Salvation Army of Beaver County presents “An Italian Holiday”…Friday, June 2nd, 2017…Seven Oaks Country Club…5:30 p.m….All funds raised as a result of this event go directly to support Salvation Army community centers in Aliquippa, Beaver Falls and Rochester. The Beaver Valley Choral Society has released its 2017 Spring Concert Schedule. The 130-member volunteer community choir and orchestra will present two more concerts of “The Shepherd Became A Lamb” at local churches. They are:

4 p.m. April 8th at Beaver United Methodist Church, 345 College Avenue in Beaver.

4 p.m. April 9th at Chippewa United Methodist Church…2545 Darlington Road, Chippewa Township.

Admission is FREE, but a freewill offering will be accepted.

The Little Beaver Lions Red  Cross Blood Drive will be held on Monday, April 17th from 1 to 6pm at the Darlington Volunteer Fire Department. Walk-ins welcomed.

The 19th annual Drive For The Blind Charity Golf Scramble presented by the Beaver County Association For The Blind will be hold on Friday, May 26th at 1:00 pm at Blackhawk Golf Course on Blackhawk Road in Beaver Falls. There will be  a Chinese auction and a a 50/50 drawing.

The Beaver Falls Lecture Series continues April 5th at 7 pm at the Beaver Falls Library. Theme of this Lecture Series: Why Beaver Falls? Light refreshments will be served.

Geneva College Department of Music presents…”In the Mood  22: Big Band Music Returns”.  The Geneva College Jazz Band will once again present a concert of big band music from the 1930’s and 40’s….Saturday, April 8th…at 8:00 p.m. at John H. From June 14th to the 16th and June 19th to the 23rd, you can take part in the Beaver Valley Choral Society and Rochester Area School District’s 2017 Summer Choral and Instrumental Music Academy. Classes being offered  include Master Choral Work Rehearsals, Jazz ensemble, Introduction To Conducting, Piano Master classes, Vocal Master classes, and many more! On June 23rd, the Academy students will present FREE performances of Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and Stage Jazz Band and chamber arrangements.
