Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m. the annual bake off will be held at the township building. Sweet breads at 11 a.m. for judging, at noon the cookie category will be judged, Cupcakes/cakes including cheesecakes will be judged at noon. Junior bakers under age 16 are bringing their specialty baked goods from any category
Officer Jason Seng is a 13-year veteran with the Ambridge Police Department. Jason’s son, Collin, was born with a very rare condition causing him to be non-verbal and wheelchair dependent. The family is hoping to be able to modify their family van to be handicap accessible. The goal is $30,000. With the help of Oxgoad Arms and First Responders from all over, past and present we hope to achieve that goal and more.

(New Brighton, Pa.) Our Lady of the Valley is announcing that it will be canceling Bingo for the next three weeks at the Holy Family Parish in New Brighton. The organization said in a release that “Due to concerns about the rising COVID Cases, and orders from the Pittsburgh Diocese to temporarily suspend all other non worship church activities.” Bingo is tentatively scheduled to reopen Wednesday evening February 2, 2022. Hopewell’s Second Annual Comfort Food Cook-Off is set for Saturday, november 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There are openings in the soup category at 11 a.m., Casseroles, noon, Sauce 1 p.m., and macaroni and cheese 2 p.m. The categories are scattered throughout the day to ensure social distancing. Entrees will be judged by a panel of local chefs, business owners, and township officials on appearance, taste and texture, according to Nora Janicki, Community Outreach Coordinator. Contestants are asked to provide 8 small servings in their category.. Registration is first come, first served basis, when a category’s filled, registration will be closed..
