Pa State Rep. Josh Kail to Host Veterans Breakfast April 29, 2022

(Brighton Twp., Pa.) Rep. Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) announced today he will be hosting a breakfast to honor local veterans on Friday, April 29, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Shultz Lodge, located at 1925 Gypsy Glen Road in Beaver.

“Our veterans sacrificed so much to protect us and our freedoms,” said Kail. “I am forever grateful for their service to our country, and they deserve the recognition for going above and beyond. In order to express my gratitude to them, all veterans from the 15^th District who have served our great nation are invited to attend. I am excited to meet with our amazing heroes.”

The event is free to attend for veterans and their guests. Those who wish to attend should RSVP online at RepKail.com or by calling Kail’s district office at 724-728-7655.

New Brighton Rotary is Celebrating 75th Anniversary

The public is invited to join in celebrating the New Brighton Rotary Club’s 75^th Anniversary at the Beaver Valley Golf Club on Saturday, May 15. The Tea and Treasures Baskets fundraiser is returning to St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. There will be High tea, scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts.. There will be prizes and a beautiful Treasure Basket Raffle, and a Featured Wine Basket Raffle.

St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church 2200 Irwin St. is once again sponsoring its annual food festival that wasn’t held for the last 2 years due to the pandemic. . Dates and times for the festival are Saturday May 21, 2022 beginning at 11 a.m. On Sunday, May 22 the event will begin after church services. .

A menu of homemade Serbian foods and pastries such as nut rolls and cookies will be available for sale.. You may eat in or takeout is offered.

3/26/22: Steel City Patriots Collecting For Ukrainian Relief Fund At Beaver County Courthouse

On Saturday, March 26th, the Steel Valley Patriots will be at the Beaver County Courthouse from noon to one pm, collecting for the Ukrainian Relief Fund.

The money will be sent to St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Parish in Ambridge, Pa. They are in direct contact with a church in Poland taking in refugees that are coming across the border.

Sundays after church until April 17, 2022 donations of , nonperishable foods, baby formula, baby food, and diapers and toiletries will be accepted in the church basement following Divine Liturgy.
