Former NFL RB Stepfan Taylor Is Co-Founder Of A-Champs

Stepfan Taylor used to help run down defensive backs with the Arizona Cardinals, but now he is attempting to run down the epidemic of childhood obesity. Taylor is a co-founder and CMO of A-Champs, an organization based in Northern California that sells products and does sessions to help kids stay active and avoid getting into dangerous habits.

Stepfan discussed A-Champs with Greg Benedetti and Matt Drzik on the September 23 edition of the Saturday Sports Slam, where the three men discussed the actions and inspirations of the company, as well as where it is headed.

Lincoln Park Performing Arts  Center is presenting Mike Super Magic and Illusion this weekend Saturday September 16, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Main Stage Theater. 1230 WBVP and 1460 WMBA is teaming up with The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center to give away 2 Four packs of tickets.

The 20th Annual New Brighton Car Cruise!

Third Avenue in New Brighton was taken back in time on September 9, 2017. Glorious-looking classic cars from the days of yore aligned the main street between the bridge and Junction Stretch for the 20th annual New Brighton Car Cruise.

Pat Septak and Matt Drzik were at the Car Cruise during Solid Gold Saturday Afternoon, and the Personality Prize Wheel and Prize Van also were on display!

Dr. Michael Alexander of Five Star Medical Talks Addiction Treatment

Five Star Medical Services is a new addiction treatment center in Ambridge that helps those struggling with addiction to get proper prescription and medical treatment in a non-judgmental facility.

Dr. Michael Alexander is the co-founder and head physician at Five Star, and he joined Matt Drzik for an interview on A.M. Beaver County, and he discussed what his goals are for the future of his business and how people can get in touch with Five Star.

The 20th New Brighton Car Cruise Takes Place On September 9

Since 1997, 3rd Avenue in New Brighton has been home to a summer-closing car cruise that brings the hottest rods and rides to the city. This year is the 20th year of the New Brighton Car Cruise, and it will run from 1:00 until 8:00 on September 9.

Bill Edwards and Tom Albanese, both of New Brighton, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County to discuss this year’s event. Matt will join Pat Septak for a live broadcast from the New Brighton Car Cruise on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00.

Pirates Extend Clint Hurdle Contract

The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that they have agreed to a new four year contract with Manager Clint Hurdle. Hurdles contract was suppose to expire at the end of the season. Hurdle will now be the Pirates Manager thru the 2021 season . The Pirates made the announcement during Mondays game against the Cubs . In seven seasons as the Pirates Manager Hurdle has guided the Pirates to a 574-534 record and 3 wild card appearances losing two of the three . Tune into A.M. The Good Samaritan Parish Festival Returns To Ambridge On Labor Day Weekend

For over 20 years, the Good Samaritan Parish in Ambridge has brought out county residents of all ages and backgrounds to engage in a festival of food, fellowship, and entertainment. This year’s event takes place on Labor Day Weekend, and will feature many musical acts including Jimmie Ross and The Jaggerz as well as Casanova.

Rose Filipponi and Leah Lesak from the Parish Festival Committee joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver county to discuss who’s all on stage, who makes it happen, when the events take place, and of course…what’s on the menu.

Opening Night At The 75th Big Knob Fair!

The Big Knob Grange, located in New Sewickley Township, opened its gates once again for the annual week-long Big Knob Fair, now in its 75th year. Tuesday night kicked off the event with a parade featuring the Freedom Area High School Marching Band, and then the fair was officially underway.

Beaver County Radio was there once again this year, and Matt Drzik and Ed Hermick were keeping the Personality Prize Wheel going all night until the moon came out.

The 75th Big Knob Fair Begins Next Week!

For 75 years, the Big Knob Area of New Sewickley Township has brought in legions of Beaver County residents to the Big Knob Fair. The fair features many local groups and attractions, as well as fan favorites such as the tractor pull and weekend demolition derby.

Bill Steele, one of the head coordinators of the Big Knob Fair, stopped by A.M. Beaver County to talk with Matt Drzik about this year’s 75th anniversary celebration, including new features to celebrate 75 years, as well as ways citizens and groups can help out during fair week.
