Emergency crews battled what officials say was a suspicious fire at a home in Lawrence County early Sunday morning. The fire broke out at round 5:30 a.m. at a vacant home in the 16-hundred block of West Lawrence Avenue near Ellwood City. Wayne Township fire officials say the fire began on the side porch of the home, and the fire chief considers it to be suspicious. No one was reported to be injured.
