Construction crews continue to perform remediation work at a rapid pace at the site of the old Horsehead Corporation along the Ohio River in Potter Township. That is where Shell Chemicals could build a multi-billion-dollar ethane cracker plant. The company continues to express support for the local cracker project. Shell hasn’t yet made a final investment decision on the project. But officials say a decision could come within a year. Beaver County Commissioner Tony Amadio told Teleforum host Mike Romigh on Beaver County Radio that he’s seen a lot of progress on the the part of Shell in that region in the last couple of months.
