Police are investigating a robbery that took place today at the First National Bank in New Brighton. According to New Brighton police, the bank, located in the one-thousand block of Third Avenue, was robbed shortly before 9:30 this morning by a black man with a large build. They say his face was covered and he was armed with a gun. Surveillance video shows the suspect jumping over a counter to grab cash. No word yet on how much was taken.
